COPE The Northeastern Pennsylvania Council
COPE/Climbing Committee
 is proud to offer ...

At Goose Pond Scout Reservation
(at the COPE Course)

April 20 - 22, 2018

$45 (includes all meals, lodging, equipment, recognition and training materials)

The weekend is phase 1 ‘classroom’ training Cope & Climbing, Phase 2 high ropes and technical training Cope. Upon completion of the training, each staff member will need to attend two weekends of practical application experience as a High Cope or Climbing staff assistant before receiving full certification.

Certified staff members are compensated for working on the COPE and or Climbing programs.  As our Staff grows, we need to add new individuals with enthusiasm, talent and new ideas to our corps of COPE and Climbing leaders.  We work hard and play hard!

This training is ideal for older Scouts who would like to add excitement and diversity to their Scouting activities, or for adults interested in serving our Scouting youth in a very exciting and rewarding way. These skills will be valuable as you grow as a leader in school, the workplace, or your Scout unit.

We need...

Level 1- COPE & Climbing Instructors: (Age 18- 20 trained by BSA NCS COPE & Climbing Directors)
Level 2- COPE & Climbing Instructors: (Age 21 + trained by our BSA NCS COPE & Climbing Directors)
COPE & Climbing Instructors-in-Training: (Age 16 -17 trained by BSA NCS COPE & Climbing Directors)
PLUS: Trade skills for Course construction; Host Corps for training sessions; Summer camp staff; Maintenance crew; Mental game instructors, Technical climbers; etc.

If you love high adventure and challenge, we want you!
